The Group Account Director gives strategic direction on all client marketing campaigns and initiatives for a group of accounts and helps drive business growth by recognizing client’s business opportunities. He/She will lead a team and be accountable for the realization of advertising and promotional campaigns. All of the agency’s departments – client services, creatives, production, social, media, and web – will rely on his/her leadership throughout projects for proper distribution of resources, smooth communication, and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic and commercial solutions that balance client and agency objectives.
  • Full ownership of client relationships. Understands client framework and works with senior account leadership to ensure the business is run profitably
  • Lead and motivate a team around client objectives, ensuring that team members are trained and resourced properly.
  • Delivery of performance evaluations including development plans for direct reports. Provide mentorship to direct reports. This includes objective setting and KPI tracking.
  • Identifies business development opportunities (current and new clients)

 

Qualifications & Capabilities

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar function with a minimum of 3 years experience leading a team.
  • Articulation of strategic communications plan and recommendations that address client’s needs.
  • Experience with business development and lead generation is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in developing sustainable relationships with clients.
